Biography: Duane: interim pastor at Clover Pass Community Church, Ketchikan; pastor at Wawota Alliance in Saskatoon. Lois: Nursing at U of Saskatoon; CE at Canadian Theological Seminary; Director of CE at Morden Alliance Church, then ministered at Wawota Alliance Church.

Current work/status: The Thiessens return to Peru in December, Duane as professor at Southern Peru Alliance Seminary and on the pastoral team of a new church plant, Lois as a professor at the seminary and in counseling and mentoring, plus helping the church plant.

Personal prayer requests: Pray that Duane would mature in love as a husband and father, and would be able to control his high blood pressure and being overweight. Pray for spiritual growth for Lois, as well as for her back problems and stress.

Ministry prayer requests: Pray for the new Peruvian pastor of the Arequipa Alliance Church (soon to be chosen), the two cell groups which will be the base for a new church plant in Arequipa in 2003, and for the Southern Peru Alliance Seminary in its preparation of pastoral leadership for the ministry of the C&MA in Southern Peru.
