Great Commission Coffee Company was founded in 2000 in the small
town of North Bend, Washington by two coffee-loving pastors. The idea
was born in 1999 as Pastor Monty Wright and Pastor Marty Benedict
followed God’s vision to plant a church in the Snoqualmie Valley.
Within a year, over 400 people were attending Snoqualmie Valley Alliance.
With this rapid growth came rapid coffee consumption. Watching the
coffee profits go to local coffee companies, the concept was born…start a
coffee company in which all proceeds would go towards missions. They
soon realized that if churches simply switched their Sunday morning coffee,
the amount going to missions would be phenomenal!
God’s hand was evident as the pieces came together quickly. They acquired an award-winning coffee and began designing a web site.
